See your designs come to life!
Having designing as a separate service separates us from our competitors. The process involves building concepts, developments and then to the final design, keeping your specifications in mind. We communicate with you one-on-one for your end design choice. We have our qualification in Fashion Design and know the key elements of designing, whether it be a one-time outfit or a collection.
We design and make our own collections from time to time to showcase our expertise. Most of the events we design and make the attire for our clients are pageants, ball dresses and fashion photo shoots.

How does it work?
(While there is no charge for consultations for designing in Auckland, a minimum cost of $40 will apply when we come to you. Price is charged based on location.) 
    1. Initial Consultation  Come and meet one of our friendly staff, or we can come to you! In your initial consultation we talk through what you want and guide you towards the best designs and fabric ideas.

    2. Placing your Order   Before going ahead, you will need to decide whether the end garment(s) will be made by Alter Me as that will depend on the cost of the design. Please see below on 'how much does it cost' for more information. 

    3. On-going Communication   Once decided to go ahead with the design process, we take on board all your design(s) requirements and do our own research on how we can better the design(s) in any way. We will need to communicate with you via email or Skype to show you design concepts and developments. If further issues need to be solved we can arrange for another consultation. 

    4. End Design   Once you are happy with the final design(s) we can arrange for your first consultation for the made-to-measure garment(s). Please see How does it work for Dressmaking service for the next steps. 

How long does it take?
The time it takes to finalize the design depends on the continuous communication between you and the team at Alter Me. 

How much does it cost?
  • There is no cost for designing if the outfit(s) is made by Alter Me. 
  • If the design is not made by Alter Me an indicative quote will be given before the design process starts.
